Choosing a roll size

The 20″ × 50 ft roll is a practical format for smaller counter signs, menu promotions and wall displays. The 54″ × 150 ft roll accommodates wider graphics for retail and restaurant lightboxes.

Measure the graphic across the roll, and leave room for your printer’s margins, bleed and trimming. The dimensions shown in these images describe the finished graphic, not the lightbox frame or the roll itself.

The material

The 3.5mil (90 micron) polymeric PVC film has a translucent matte white finish, a clear permanent solvent-based acrylic adhesive and a 90 lb double-PE-coated release liner. Its adhesive construction is intended to bond to a compatible sign face, rather than slide into a frame as a loose insert.

Typical applications include illuminated retail signs, restaurant promotions and small countertop displays. Check adhesion and appearance on the actual acrylic, polycarbonate or other panel you intend to use.

Printing and application

The film is listed for eco-solvent, solvent, latex and UV ink systems. Confirm that the roll fits your printer and test media handling, ink adhesion, drying or curing before running the full job.

View a printed test with the lightbox both on and off. The lighting, print settings and panel all affect the finished appearance. For outdoor work, evaluate the complete combination of film, ink, laminate and substrate under the intended conditions.
