Choosing Materials: Ask, Sample, and Test Before Ordering
Posted by GT Marketing

Choosing printable media starts with the job: what you are making, where it will go and how you will print it. Our Products Advisor can help narrow the options, explain the current product listing and point you toward a sample or a team review.
Give the advisor the details that change the recommendation
Start with your application and the exact surface. A window decal, a flat sign panel and a retractable display have different requirements. Include indoor or outdoor use, how long you intend to use the graphic, the finish you want and whether removal is important.
For printing, share your printer model, ink system, media width and any laminate you plan to use. For an adhesive film, describe the substrate and its condition. If the graphic must fit a stand, include the stand model and attachment dimensions.
Read the product and variant before ordering
Use the current product page to check the SKU, roll size, construction, adhesive, finish and listed ink systems. A similar SKU number or the same thickness does not establish the same performance. Check technical data sheets where available; ask our team to resolve missing or conflicting specifications before production.
For example, 610MW-36GP is listed as 36-inch by 100-foot roll-up banner media with a 10 mil PVC/PET composite construction, a matte white face and a grey back. It is printable media only: a stand, printing and installation are not included. The raw roll width is not necessarily the finished display width. Read the roll-up banner media buying guide for the printer and stand checks.
Choose the right kind of sample

The printed sample swatch sheet and 20-inch sample rolls serve different purposes. Check the current item price, available variant and shipping terms. A free printed sheet does not automatically include a free production roll or free shipping.
Use the sample request form if you need help selecting material for a trial.
Test the complete production setup
Print a small trial with the actual printer, ink, profile and drying or curing settings. Check print quality, ink adhesion and handling. For adhesive graphics, test the exact substrate and removal under the intended conditions. Evaluate any laminate as part of the complete construction. For roll-up displays, test flatness, attachment and retraction in the actual stand.
Listed ink-system suitability is not a guarantee for every printer model. Do not assume universal compatibility, residue-free removal, deep-recess suitability or a fixed outdoor lifespan. A sample test and the relevant product specifications should guide the decision.
Use Welcome Cash when you are ready
Claim one $50 USD welcome credit per customer account on the Welcome Cash page. After processing, sign in with the same email and choose Apply store credit at checkout. This balance has no expiry, is separate from MaxDecals and cannot be withdrawn as cash. Repeated submissions do not earn more welcome credit.
When to ask our team
For uncertain specifications, availability, a wholesale quote or a project review, visit Product & Order Support or email info@graphictac.us. Include your application, SKU if known, printer and ink, size, quantity and destination. Staff hours are Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm Pacific.
The advisor is powered by AI and may make mistakes. For a commitment about specifications, stock or an order, request a team review.
